If you own a SlingBox and happen to have an Android mobile device, you’ll be happy to hear that you will soon be able to stream your own TV signal on-the-go, on your mobile device (cell phone, etc).
Imagine being on the bus and flipping channels on your phone as if you were right home sitting in your couch… very nice!
Sling Player Mobile is already available for Windows Mobile, Palm OS, and Symbian cell phones and PDAs. No word yet on an iPhone version.
The Android Authority has an article that suggests the the new T-Mobile HTC G1 phone will be selling at under the announced price of $179 with a two-year contract.
The price is rumored to be around $99 at select retail locations. Does this mean three-year contract or perhaps on a more expensive monthly plan? We’ll have to wait and see.

The T-Mobile-Google-Android press conference in New York city is set to start in just a little over two hours from now.
We now officially know that the phone will be called the G1 over at T-Mobile, that it will be available for “pre-order/early notification” as soon as the event closes, and that the whole event will be viewable on the new G1 web site right after the event is over.
We also learn that some “official” specs have leaked on the TmoNews web site… Seems that the G1 phone will be equipped with GPS after all (some said it would not be a feature of this phone).
Since I speak both English and French, I prepared the following translation of some of the highlights in the video that the guys at Génération Phone House did of the HTC Touch HD cell phone.

In my opinion, the phone looks great but I tought it performed rather slowly in the demo.
